Bhubaneswar, August 2, 2025 – In a strong show of support for Odisha’s expanding role in global commerce, Shreyas Webmedia Solutions took part in the World Trade Day & Annual Members Meet 2025, organized by the World Trade Center Bhubaneswar (WTC BBSR). The event, held at the prestigious Chanakya Hall, Hotel Swosti Premium, celebrated the 5th anniversary of WTC Bhubaneswar and brought together key players from the global business landscape, government, and MSME sector under the theme “Eastern India’s Economic Engine: Odisha’s Global Trade Vision.”

The event featured a key highlight — a formal MoU signing between WTC Chairman Somesh Batra and the Dubai Chambers of Commerce, a step aimed at strengthening trade relations and opening up bilateral opportunities for businesses in Odisha and the UAE.

Export Outreach Activity & GI Tagging Initiative

A special segment of the event focused on the Export Outreach initiative under the Support for GI Tagging intervention, encouraging the preservation and promotion of Geographical Indication-tagged products. The initiative aims to enhance market visibility and international recognition for Odisha’s culturally rich and heritage-linked products.

Empowering Women Entrepreneurs

The event also served as a vibrant platform for women entrepreneurs from Bhubaneswar, who showcased a diverse range of handmade products, including handicrafts, millet-based organic foods, and handmade jewellery. These women-led stalls not only highlighted Odisha’s tradition of craftsmanship but also emphasized the role of women in strengthening the MSME and export ecosystem.

Honey Patnaik, Director of SOA Community Radio 90.4 FM, also received recognition for her contributions in promoting rural voices and community-driven entrepreneurship, reaffirming the importance of inclusive economic development.

Spotlight on Dubai Collaboration

A key highlight was the strategic collaboration with the Dubai Chambers of Commerce, led by Mr. Abhijitsinh Jadeja, aimed at fostering trade ties, promoting investment avenues, and encouraging MSME participation in international markets. This partnership is expected to open new gateways for businesses in Odisha, especially in sectors like food processing, tourism, handicrafts, and digital services.
